Ultimately, I think most writers write because they love to do so. But we all dream of making a living doing what we love. What is the old saying?
“Find something you love to do, and you’ll never work a day in your life.”
– Harvey MacKay
Many of us don’t make a living doing what we love to do. And making a living writing is at best difficult. But the love of writing is why we do it. We have these thoughts and ideas in our head and they are looking for an escape. That escape may be a story by the fire, or one told your children at bed time, or putting it on paper to share with the world.
Writers have more outlets than ever before. This blog and many others like it are just one example. It allows us to share our stories and thoughts with the world. It also offers an opportunity to get paid. One way is by the ads you see on sites like this one. Another is through donations by their readers.
If what you read on these pages moves you, I would appreciate any donations, big or small. It will show your appreciation and help me get closer to making a living doing what I love.
Thanks,
